What's new

Established in 2012, the W5 Digital Insights (W5di) database is one of the largest health information networks in the US. The database has information on >220 million patients from all 50 US states. The data, which are updated multiple times a day and available within 48 hours of collection, come from a variety of sources including medical claims, pharmacy claims, lab orders, lab results, electronic remittance advice, and e-prescriptions.

Thank you to those who took part in our user survey. Here are some major enhancements we’ve implemented based on your requests:

  • When exporting data you can now see 8 additional fields: Region, DB Type, Dx Data, Dx Coded, Procedure Data, Procedure Code, Drug Data, Drug Coding System;
  • Page numbers are now on the top and bottom of the RESULTS page;
  • Several behind-the-scenes fixes to enhance your search experience.

Our 276th profile is the HealthCore Integrated Research Environment (HIRE) – Oncology (USA) database, which started in 2014 with the launch of the Cancer Care Quality Program (CCQP) by Anthem.  Data from the CCQP were integrated with the HealthCore Integrated Research Environment (HIRE), and is referred to as the HIRE-Oncology data.
